The company established an offshore development base for its first overseas expansion, but the differences in business practices and culture between the head office in Japan and the overseas subsidiary caused many communication errors and challenges.
We would like to provide training on Japanese business practices and communication in English for 30 employees of a local subsidiary.
Our Support
First, we interviewed both parties about their sense of the issues, identified the challenges, and created a program that fit the client company’s situation.
After the training, we conducted a questionnaire survey and received feedback from the participants to eliminate communication errors, not just once, but on an ongoing basis.

Results
The seminar helped us to better understand the communication errors that were causing so much frustration and stress among the local employees, and we received very positive feedback and requests from 30 local employees to hold the seminar on a regular basis.
Communication errors with the Japanese side after the training have been reduced, and requests to continue the program with a different program.

We have seen many companies make communication errors in their overseas operations, and we believe that cultural differences are a normal part of the process, and that it is necessary for both parties to come to a compromise.
We believe that the most effective training is to involve stakeholders on both the Japanese and overseas sides, and that quickly improving this communication error will lead to business expansion.
