Overview of Operations
The local government of the Tohoku region conducted an inbound promotion in the Vietnam market by visiting six travel agencies over the course of two days, promoting the region’s tourism information.
We visited six travel agencies in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, and showcased the region’s tourism resources and attractions. Through follow-up efforts, this led to the development of travel products featuring the region’s tourist destinations by four of the agencies.
Comment from the person in charge
As the demand for inbound tourism to Japan from the Vietnam market continues to grow year by year, local travelers are increasingly interested in tours that focus not only on popular destinations but also on niche, unique experiences. By promoting summer activities as a theme, we were able to differentiate the region from other tourist destinations, and our proposal of appealing and unique tourism information attracted significant interest from local travel agencies, leading to positive results.
